Shepherd brings nearly two decades of engineering and construction marketing experience to the director’s role, including 12 years at HNTB in marketing positions of increasing responsibility. In addition to planning and executing marketing strategy, Shepherd oversees support to all division offices and service groups, develops and implements workflows, organizes project pursuits and manages and mentors staff.

Shepherd earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a minor in marketing from Spelman College, and a Master of Science in marketing from the Carey Business School at The Johns Hopkins University. She also completed WTS International’s Mid-Career Leadership Program. She is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Women’s Transportation Seminar.
Serving her community, Shepherd is also a board member for Girls on the Move, Inc., an organization empowering independence in young African-American women through educational and enrichment programs.
