As the latest addition to Ryan's charter school portfolio, the 43,696-square-foot facility will be completed in July 2024 to alleviate overcrowding for the fall semester. Serving students in grades K-8, the 9.42-acre campus will feature collaborative classrooms for group work, interactive spaces for creative arts, a multi-purpose room with a basketball court layout, and offices for independent work. With a main entrance facing Bacons Bridge Road, the academy will include several classrooms, an outdoor turf area, a retention pond, and an anticipated 94 parking spaces.
“Ryan is now a prominent player in K-12 construction, and we are proud to play a role in providing diverse schooling options for Charleston’s rapidly growing population," said Max Bosso, Ryan's Vice President of Real Estate Development. “Summerville Preparatory Academy furthers Ryan’s commitment to delivering charter schools efficiently and effectively, as we work alongside education leaders in the Southeast to create outstanding learning environments.”
