“I’m honored to serve again as the Chairman of the Commission,” Cox said. “We’re making tremendous progress on our Strategic 10-Year Plan, and we will continue working hard on behalf of the people of South Carolina.”
Cox, a Commissioner representing the 7th Congressional District, joined the SCDOT Commission in 2017. He has previously served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Commission.
He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in public administration/real estate and completed the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Advanced Management Development Program.
Cox is a real estate professional with 40 years of experience. He recently retired as the Executive Vice President at Burroughs and Chapin Co., Inc. in Myrtle Beach.
