CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — Skanska announces the promotion of John Calvin to Vice President - Account Manager for its building operations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Calvin, who has spent nearly a quarter century building his career at Skanska, will provide executive oversight of project execution and delivery, and continue to strengthen client relationships across Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

“John’s commitment to operational excellence, his ability to forge lasting client relationships, and his strong leadership have made a deep impact across our Mid-Atlantic operations,” said Mark Balling, Executive Vice President and General Manager responsible for Skanska’s Mid-Atlantic building operations. “He understands what our clients need and consistently delivers above and beyond expectations, which is exactly why he’s the right person to drive our continued growth in the region.”

Starting his career nearly 25 years ago at Skanska’s office in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Calvin has held key roles in Roanoke and Charlottesville. During his tenure, he has cultivated long-standing partnerships with clients including Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech, Longwood University, The College of William and Mary, and the University of Virginia.

Calvin is also developing the next generation of Skanska talent, mentoring team members across the region and helping many grow into leadership roles.
