FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Wayne J. Griffin Electric Inc. (Griffin Electric), an electrical contractor throughout New England and the Southeast for nearly five decades, is nearing completion on the electrical work for a 127,500-square-foot School of Medicine for Cape Fear Valley Health, in partnership with Methodist University. This school, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is projected to welcome its inaugural class of medical students this summer.
The School of Medicine will feature new amenities in its classrooms and conference rooms, as well as the latest advancements in equipment and technology. Other features include a courtyard, plaza, learning garden, and a parking lot that can accommodate up to 300 students and staff members.
Griffin Electric’s Raleigh-Durham team is responsible for a range of electrical installations for the project, from lighting and lighting control to service and distribution. The Griffin team is also handling the installation of an emergency generator, fire alarm system, and low voltage conduit provisions on site.
Rodgers Builders Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina, is serving as the project’s general contractor, while RMF Engineering Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina, and McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture of Charlotte are serving as the electrical engineer and architect, respectively.
