COLUMBIA, MO — Josh Doerhoff, PE, Executive Vice President of Operations at Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS), was inducted into the University of Missouri’s Civil & Environmental Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni (CEADA).
The recognition celebrates Doerhoff's leadership in civil construction and his commitment to building stronger teams, better infrastructure, and lasting connections across Missouri and beyond. The CEADA honors Mizzou Engineering graduates who have made a mark in their field and their communities.
A Mizzou Engineering graduate, Doerhoff earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering before getting his start with ESS as an intern. After joining full-time as a Project Manager, he quickly took on greater responsibility, helping lead some of the most complex projects at ESS. Over the years, he has played a key role in the company’s continued growth and success.
Today, Doerhoff serves as Executive Vice President of the Heavy Highway operations, where he guides teams across large-scale infrastructure projects, from bridges and concrete paving along major transportation corridors.
“I’m proud to represent ESS and be recognized alongside so many talented Mizzou engineers,” Doerhoff said. “This honor really speaks to our teams and the employee-owners who work hard and care deeply about what they build. That’s what makes this recognition special.”
