Burns & McDonnell Promotes Hetherington to Lead the Terminals & Pipelines Group
In this role, he will lead a team of more than 100 professionals within the firm’s Oil, Gas & Chemicals Group who are engaged in large-volume storage and transportation projects for petroleum-based products. In Hetherington’s 15 years at the firm, he has managed projects from front-end planning to engineering, procurement and construction for midstream facility, export terminal and heavy-refinery revamp projects.

Hetherington received his bachelor’s degrees in business administration and mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri. He is a certified Professional Engineer in Missouri.
Hetherington’s promotion continues the company’s commitment to providing planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup services for storage terminals, including crude oil, refined products and liquefied petroleum gas. Additionally, the firm provides receiving, storage and blending, as well as truck, rail and marine loading/unloading facility solutions.
