AECOM Selected to Continue Providing Environmental Remediation Services for USACE

KANSAS CITY, MO — AECOM announces it has been awarded a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District. The contract will see AECOM continuing to provide environmental A-E remediation services across the USACE Northwestern Division and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 2. With a contract ceiling of $225 million, AECOM will work to protect public health by addressing environmental contamination and promoting sustainability through the use of green technologies.

“We’re proud to build on more than 100 years of experience delivering diverse infrastructure and environmental solutions for USACE sites around the world,” said Karl Jensen, Executive Vice President of AECOM’s National Governments business. “Our proven track record as a trusted partner on large-scale remediation programs for U.S. federal clients will bolster our team’s ability to support USACE environmental cleanup objectives aimed at preserving public well-being and safety.”

AECOM’s scope of work will include site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and other contaminants, remedial designs, chemical sampling and testing, groundwater modeling, community and stakeholder engagement, engineering during construction, and various other technical services.

“As an industry leader in environmental engineering and design, our teams are at the forefront of addressing pressing remediation challenges,” said Dawn Swider, Regional Environment Business Line Leader for AECOM’s U.S. West region. “Our passionate, skilled environmental professionals combine deep knowledge of regulatory practices and technical innovations with local expertise, enabling us to tackle complex environmental issues effectively.”

The AECOM team will also collaborate with three specialty small businesses, including HUBZone-certified FPM Remediations, Inc. AECOM has partnered with FPM for more than 20 years and is currently mentoring the firm through a U.S. Small Business Administration mentor-protégé agreement.
