Broeder will be the Kansas City studio’s Design Principal, assuming one of four key leadership roles in the office. Broeder has been with HOK for more than a decade and has worked on complex projects across the country.
“Peter brings an innate understanding of good design, a gift for leading teams, and a passion for mentoring staff that make him an invaluable asset to the studio and the broader Kansas City design community,” said Chris DeVolder, Managing Principal for the Kansas City studio. “His deep knowledge of diverse market types will help lead our team into the future as we continue to expand.”
Additional promotions focus on the growth of the Kansas City studio’s corporate, commercial, and workplace projects.
Godfrey will be the studio’s new Director of Interiors. Godfrey has been with the studio for 10 years and has led the design of high-profile interiors projects for companies across the Kansas City area.

Roark, previously the Director of the studio’s Interiors group, will become the Regional Leader of WorkPlace. In this role, Roark will collaborate firm-wide with WorkPlace leaders and guide the studio’s design of workplace projects in the region. He brings more than three decades of experience delivering workplace environments.
Sloan will also move into a new role as Senior Principal, Design for the studio. He has more than 30 years of experience working on projects that have shaped current best practices in workplace design across the nation.
