“The Mission Critical team within The Weitz Company includes some of the most amazing people in the business," Lamb said. "The exceptional growth of this segment is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of our team members. I am excited to build upon the work that has gotten us this far and will continue to cultivate opportunities to help our talented team grow."
Lamb aims to diversify the company’s Mission Critical portfolio, capitalize on green initiatives, propel diversity and inclusion efforts, and continue to build and promote Weitz employees. From 2019 to 2022, the annual revenue of Weitz Mission Critical has grown from $41 million to $400 million, and the number of employees has doubled. The business unit has also recorded over 4 million safe hours worked to date, and has gone over 36 months with zero safety incidents on any Mission Critical jobsite.
“Ryan is extremely committed to the success of our company and even more so our people," said Shane Bauer, Chief Operating Officer at The Weitz Company. "His diverse skillset and professional expertise will prove to be a significant asset to our Mission Critical team as they continue to grow.”
Lamb most recently served as the company’s General Counsel, during which he played an integral role in leading the company toward solutions on complex projects. He also continues to serve on the company’s Construction Leadership Council as he has done for the last five years. As Lamb transitions into his new position, he will continue to oversee risk for the company, and Steve Tyler is stepping into the General Counsel position for The Weitz Company.
