McCownGordon Construction’s Kimzey Accepted to Leadership Kansas
Kimzey has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. His depth of estimating experience gives him the knowledge needed to develop cost-saving solutions, which help project owners achieve their goals. Over his career, Kimzey has worked on projects in a wide variety of market sectors including manufacturing and industrial, science and technology, corporate office, civic and higher education.
Kimzey acts as a leader in the preconstruction process for McCownGordon, working closely with trade partners, design teams and owners to deliver comprehensive preconstruction services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction science and management from Kansas State University.
At McCownGordon, Kimzey serves as a guide and mentor for all company associates, both in preconstruction services as well as other areas. He expanded his leadership skills through participating in and playing a role in numerous organizations, including Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lawrence and serving as an Appeals Member on the City of Lawrence Board of Zoning. Upon completion of the Leadership Kansas program, Kimzey is prepared to shoulder more responsibilities armed with resources from a network of business and public-sector contacts across the state.
