Events kicked off Wednesday night with a dinner for Garver awards nominees held on the field at Arrowhead Stadium. Thursday’s expo brought all Garver’s business lines together under one roof to connect and share information. It also featured pinatas and a custom cash-grab booth.
The highlight of Summit was Thursday’s awards night, which took place in Kansas City’s historic Midland Theatre. Employees embraced the Great Gatsby-theme and turned out in 1920s attire to enjoy the ceremony, which featured videos of Garver employees as well as an address from President and CEO Brock Hoskins and Chief Operating Officer Michael Graves in which they highlighted the year’s achievements.
Friday morning, about 400 Garver employees showed up before sunrise at Liberty Memorial to participate in a volunteer opportunity hosted by GarverGives. Garver volunteers spent the morning assembling snack packs for homeless veterans and participating in a fun run around the memorial.
