The Flow Boy acquisition by Bergkamp provides a natural expansion of the company’s product lines. Specifically, the live-bottom transporter provides a more efficient and safer way for contractors to haul asphalt and chip-seal material and load their pavers without the height and tipping hazards typically associated with dump-style units. The Flow Boy design minimizes material spills, eliminating the need for workers to manually shovel material into the paver or support unit. Bergkamp currently offers truck-mounted Flow Boy units in 12, 15, and 19 cubic-yard sizes, with trailer units coming in the future.
“We are excited to own such an iconic brand as Flow Boy," said Scott Bergkamp, President of Bergkamp Inc. "We believe the market for a safer and more efficient alternative to dump trucks is growing, and we want to be a part of that growth. The Flow Boy products have proven themselves for decades. They are a natural fit for us, and we are looking forward to bringing this brand back to the industry with high-quality products and Bergkamp’s world-class support.”
