ST. CHARLES, MO — The Inclusion Advocate of the Year Award was recently presented to Dennis Lavallee by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT). The award was presented at the Annual Civil Rights Symposium in St. Charles, Missouri. Lavallee is the former President of the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers (SLCCC).
“Through the Diversity Committee of the SLCCC, we have been able to drive and lead efforts for inclusion in the construction industry,” Lavallee said. “These have focused on women and minority owned business as well as work force. This award recognizes the progress that has been achieved.”
MODOT is the state agency that oversees the transportation system and maintains over 10,000 miles of roads and bridges.
