Scott is a 36-year employee of NDOT and brings a wealth of experience to the role. In his new position he will manage highway maintenance programs and direct winter operations for the district. Prior to his promotion he served as the Highway Maintenance Superintendent in the McCook area for the past 13 years.
“I am pleased to continue the tradition of service in District 7 and am ready to lead our team as we provide the best possible highway maintenance and winter operations in our district,” Scott said.
Scott replaces Kelly Doyle who served in the role for 14 years and is retiring after a 35-year career at NDOT.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation is responsible for the planning, development, design, construction, maintenance, and administration of the state highway system. The goals of the department are to preserve the billions of dollars Nebraskans have invested in their state highway system, making the highways safe and efficient, and accomplishing this in a timely and cost-effective manner.
