In his message to the members, 2021 AGC of Iowa President Jeff Koudelka of Iowa Plains Signing, Inc., said, “I, along with incoming President Dan Cramer, would like to welcome you to the 100th gathering of our industry. Congratulations on making the right decision to attend this convention, and I want to personally thank you for your involvement. I am so glad to start a new year and see friends face to face.”
“The theme for this convention is appropriately, ‘100 Years of Memories’," he continued. "We have survived a global pandemic, and this industry is ready for anything. This convention and the opportunities presented will help you and your business prepare for future success. Take advantage of all the convention offers, you will not be disappointed.”
Among the many topics covered at the convention were “Putting Work Optimization Tax Credits to Work for Your Business”, “Attracting Tomorrow’s Talent with Today’s Leaders”, “Business Valuation, Buy-Sell Review Process and Succession Planning”, and “An Overview of the Iowa Economy During the Pandemic”.
In addition to the guest speakers and seminars, attendees were kept busy with the announcement of the AGC of Iowa’s Recognition of Safety Excellence Awards, Committee Meetings, Division Breakout Sessions, Hospitality Rooms, the President’s Banquet, the Iowa State Legislative Leaders Preview, and a visit by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.

The Michael J. Manatt Memorial AGC of Iowa PAC Auction was a highlight of convention. The PAC Auction theme this year was “Show Me the Money”, which was an appropriate theme for meeting the challenges members face as a group and in individual businesses. The AGC of Iowa's success at the statehouse starts with the PAC Auction, and the event raised money to benefit the industry.
