“We’re exceptionally proud of Hanna for this accomplishment," said RDG Partner Leann Pederson, IIDA, CHID, LEED AP and Registered Interior Designer who leads the firm’s healthcare interiors market in Iowa. "Working towards and attaining a CHID credential is not an easy process but is an achievement that truly sets Hanna apart from others in her field. Her elevated understanding of the nuances and intricacies of healthcare spaces are instrumental in ensuring we continue to design environments that meet the needs of every individual who utilizes them."
Hayes joined RDG in 2015 and has contributed to projects across Iowa and Nebraska, including work for MercyOne, University of Iowa Health Care, and Nebraska Medicine. She began working toward becoming a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer in 2019, a process that requires study of codes and guidelines, environments of care, equipment needs, and functional programming needs in acute care, ambulatory care, and residential healthcare living facilities.
“I am so pleased with the achievement of the CHID Certification," Hayes said. "Furthering my knowledge in the healthcare focus market holds great importance in my eyes, and I’m proud to stand amongst a group of elite healthcare interior designers who also hold the CHID designation."
