Senior Project Manager Mitchell Fuemmeler will lead the Nabholz team in Columbia. Fuemmeler most recently oversaw construction for the $130-million bond program with the Jefferson City Public Schools in Jefferson City, Missouri. He earned his Bachelor of Science in construction management from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
Fuemmeler is involved in multiple community and professional organizations, including both the Columbia and Jefferson City Chambers of Commerce, Columbia REDI, UCM Construction Management Advisory Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters of KC, and Habitat for Humanity. Fuemmeler is also a Regional Board Chairman for the Design Build Institute of America and was named the 2015 Project Manager of the Year by the Kansas City American Subcontractors Association.
Nabholz has made a name for itself in the Missouri market by utilizing alternative delivery methods for design-build and construction management work. This included delivering the state’s first public education project under the Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) model at Independence Schools. The firm has since managed other education projects under the CMAR model. Nabholz has also done substantial work in the tourism sector.
“We’ve always considered ourselves as local to Columbia, as we have employees living and working within the community," Regional Construction President Jeff Gattis said. "Opening an office here strengthens our commitment to serve our clients and helps us do our part in contributing and building the rapidly growing communities in central Missouri.”
