Huber Premieres Baron HX Hydro Excavator

Huber introduced its Baron HX hydro excavator at The Utility Expo 2025. Built on a 40-year legacy of vacuum-truck expertise, the Baron HX marks Huber’s first entry into the hydro excavation market. It prioritizes faster job site setup, simplified operation, and minimized downtime, empowering operators to work more efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key highlights of the Baron HX include:

  • Accelerated productivity — Twin tank vibrators oscillate intermittently to unload material up to twice as fast as standard models. A 12-yard debris tank and one-touch rear door unlock with auto-lock streamline cleanouts, reducing dumpsite trips and keeping operators safely on the ground.
  • Extended reach — The telescoping boom provides 330-degree rotation, a 6-foot extension, and a 47-degree pivot range. The dig-ready design enables excavation up to 48 inches below frost level without stinger tubes.
  • Safety and durability — A poly-tank made from NFPA-rated, fusion-welded material prioritizes safety, with a proprietary baffle design for noise reduction and compliance. The tube-in-tube boom hose eliminates rotating-hose maintenance.
  • Simplified operation — Intuitive, one-button controls and in-cab blower engagement ease use, while the airflow system cuts fuel consumption, extends intervals, and simplifies cleanouts.

Like other Huber trucks, the Baron HX is manufactured in Gulfport, Mississippi.
