AUSTIN, TX — It was a packed house at the AGC of Texas Scholarship Gala, which raised a record-breaking $1.55 million for the association’s scholarship program. This event brought together AGC of Texas members and community partners to invest in the next generation of construction professionals.
AGC of Texas’ scholarship program is designed to support aspiring students pursuing careers in the heavy highway construction industry. The scholarships recognize academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to the industry.
To help raise funds for the scholarship program, the gala held a live auction and silent auction. Some of the items won at the auctions included a golf package, several hunting and fishing trips, football tickets, diamond jewelry, a wine package, gift baskets, and more.
The 2025 Scholarship Gala featured a new element at the annual fundraising event — casino game tables. The new addition to the event gave those not participating in the live auction a chance to keep the party going. Many attendees won raffle prizes from the casino games, including items like signed jerseys, kitchen appliances, a cheese club subscription, a whiskey bundle, among others.
The 2026 Scholarship Gala will be held on September 22 at the Fairmont Hotel in Austin, Texas.
