TWDB Approves Financial Assistance Totaling $163M for Water, Wastewater, and Flood Mitigation Projects

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves financial assistance totaling approximately $163 million for water, wastewater, and flood mitigation projects:

  • $4.29 million to the East Rio Hondo Water Supply Corporation (Cameron County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $60 million to the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $35.6 million to the City of Irving (Dallas County) for flood mitigation
  • $3 million to the City of Jefferson (Marion County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $142,857 to the Morton Valley Water Supply Corporation (Eastland County) for lead service line inventory
  • $60 million to the City of Round Rock (Williamson County) for wastewater system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
