EL PASO, TX — Sundt Construction has donated $10,200 to the ACE Mentor Program of Paso Del Norte (ACE PDN) to help fund scholarships for six local high school students and support hands-on externship opportunities.
ACE is a national program that connects high school students with industry professionals through mentorship and hands-on projects, offering early exposure to careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.
“ACE Paso Del Norte is extremely grateful to Sundt for making an impactful contribution to the El Paso area, as it allowed ACE to double the scholarships given out this year,” said Humberto Marquez, ACE Paso Del Norte Chair. “We hope to continue partnering with Sundt as ACE and its sponsors help shape the future of the architecture, construction, and engineering workforce locally.”
“Programs like ACE Mentor create meaningful connections between students and industry professionals,” said Nicholas Iannello, Sundt Project Executive. “By supporting these opportunities, we’re helping students gain exposure and a clearer path toward careers in our industry.”
Sundt has been involved with ACE in El Paso for several years, beginning with virtual mentorship and transitioning to in-person engagement. Nationally, Sundt team members have contributed over 500 volunteer hours across ACE’s regional chapters. In 2024, Sundt team members helped establish the ACE Mentor Program of Paso Del Norte as an official affiliate and continue to support the program through mentorship, board leadership, and externship opportunities.
