SAN ANTONIO, TX — Vincent Obregon, PE, has been named by HNTB Corporation as the San Antonio Practice Leader. Obregon brings over 30 years of experience in transportation, public works, and infrastructure engineering with a background that spans both the public and private sectors. Since joining HNTB in 2013, he has served as the Engineering Department Manager, leading numerous large-scale infrastructure projects across Texas.
In his new role, Obregon will lead an array of transportation projects, bringing his experience in planning, design, and construction management to the forefront of the region’s infrastructure development. His portfolio includes clients such as San Antonio VIA Metropolitan Transit, Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority, Harris County Engineering, Texas Department of Transportation, the Cities of Houston, Conroe, Sugar Land, Pearland, and Austin, as well as the Port of Houston Authority.
Before joining HNTB, he served as an Associate Vice President at the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority, where he was the director of the agency’s capital program and served as a key liaison to METRO’s executive management and board committees. Obregon holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
