The topping out ceremony signifies the completion of the structural phase of the Surgical Pavilion at Hoag’s Sun Family Campus in Irvine, which will contain 24 Acuity-Adaptable ICU patient rooms, 12 private pre/post-operative rooms, 12 post-anesthesia care unit bays, eight operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and an underground connection to the new specialty care pavilions for women’s health and cancer and digestive health that are also under construction.
Hoag is expanding its campus in Irvine, fulfilling South Orange County’s need for access to comprehensive care and bolstering Hoag’s emergence as a global destination for medical services. Physicians, employees, and leadership signed the final beam for the Surgical Pavilion at Hoag’s Sun Family Campus, marking the significant construction milestone for Hoag’s Irvine expansion.
This is a key milestone for McCarthy of the expansion of the Sun Family Campus, and is one of six new buildings, housing a combined 155 inpatient beds, 11 operating rooms, and 120,000 square feet of ambulatory facilities.
