HONOLULU, HI — Burns & McDonnell, a 100 percent employee-owned engineering, architecture, and construction firm, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in the Pacific region. The 125-year-old company commemorated its achievements and ongoing commitment to community and clients with a traditional Hawaiian blessing and reception at its Honolulu, Hawaii, office in the Pacific Guardian Center.

Burns & McDonnell leaders were joined in celebration by colleagues, clients, and partners. Speakers reflected on the achievements of the Pacific team during the past 10 years, the impact made by providing employment opportunities for local engineers and architects, as well as the impact the office has had supporting the community. Since opening its doors in Honolulu in 2013, the Pacific office has grown from a team of two to more than 25 employee-owners, providing a comprehensive range of planning, design, construction, fabrication, environmental remediation, and commissioning services for federal, military, utility, commercial, and aviation clients across Hawaii and throughout the Pacific.

“Our presence in the Pacific has been marked by a strong commitment to serving our clients with a team filled with local engineers and architects,” said Tony Paresa, Pacific Operations Manager. “Over the past decade, we have successfully designed and executed more than 240 projects across Hawaii, Guam, China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.”
