In his expanded role, Stanley will be responsible for progressing the diversification of Suffolk’s portfolio of projects in the region and managing his teams’ project delivery from pursuit to completion, ensuring client satisfaction, safety conduct, and on-schedule and on-budget builds. He will prioritize pursuit of projects that address local challenges, such as increasing the supply of affordable and student housing, and other high demand sectors like entertainment, health care, travel, and hospitality. Stanley will champion operational excellence and elevate its self-perform capabilities. He will report to Tim Stroud, National President and Chief Operating Officer at Suffolk.
“Suffolk has continued to evolve to accommodate rapid growth in the Los Angeles region by leveraging innovative technologies and data to deliver modern, exciting, and sophisticated buildings,” Stroud said. “Jim has played a key role in expanding our presence and leading the team on award-winning projects across sectors.”
In his 16 years at Suffolk, Stanley has consistently led growth in Southern California. Originally joining as a Project Manager, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer in 2018 and 2020, respectively. He has overseen several projects in Los Angeles, including 1 Hotel West Hollywood, STAY AKA West Hollywood, and numerous K-12 projects throughout Los Angeles. Stanley also oversaw his team’s implementation of the Suffolk Owner’s Dashboard, a proprietary tool that provides clients with access to real-time data and predictive analytics to help ensure transparency and efficient builds.
