Moore served as Los Angeles’ City Engineer from 2003 to 2022. With over 30 years of experience, Moore has a track record of building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including elected officials, public agencies, community organizations, consultants, and colleagues. Moore has led teams through the planning and delivery of $7 billion worth of infrastructure projects with some of the most notable projects including the Sixth Street Viaduct, the Los Angeles River Revitalization Master Plan, and the Griffith Observatory Renovation and Expansion Project.
Moore began his career with the city in the Bureau of Engineering in 1985. He served in seven major roles, including Interim Director for the Port of Los Angeles and Interim Director for the City's Information Technology Agency.
Moore is the recipient of numerous honors, including the American Society of Civil Engineers Los Angeles Section - Lifetime Achievement Award, 2022, and the Women's Transportation Seminar Los Angeles – Honorable Ray LaHood Award, 2019.
