Major modalities within the Ambulatory Care Center include CT, MRI, X-Ray, Mammogram, and a Linear Accelerator, as well as a shell room for an additional future Linear Accelerator. The Linear Accelerator performs radiation treatment with a high level of accuracy and is used to treat cancerous tumors while preserving the surrounding tissue.
Walsh commenced construction in early April 2022 and utilized LEAN principles and practices with project designer HOK to accommodate and successfully deliver the schedule. The project team incorporated pull-planning, target design, design assist, pre-fabricated delivery options and assistance with material/equipment selections, monetized assembly, and innovative construction means and methods that foster expedited implementation.
