ST. LOUIS, MO — Tarlton Corp., St. Louis, Missouri’s largest women-owned general contracting, construction management, and design-build firm, announces the promotion of Michelle Spires to Senior Marketing Manager. Nina Elsperman also was promoted to Proposal Coordinator, and Catherine McDonald has joined Tarlton as Marketing Coordinator.
Spires, who previously served as Marketing Manager, will lead departmental planning and budgeting, with involvement in corporate strategic planning. She will support the business development and marketing team in branding, public and media relations, internal and external communication, proposals and other work pursuit efforts, project documentation, and project branding and signage.
Spires also leads the firm’s sustainability committee, which guides policies and business strategies to further educate employees, clients, and the community about Tarlton’s green practices. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, marketing, and public relations from Southeast Missouri State University.
As Proposal Coordinator, Elsperman will leverage her educational and professional background to coordinate the Tarlton proposal process, from initial research and coordination with Tarlton teams, to developing content for final delivery. In addition, she leads Tarlton’s philanthropy committee.
Elsperman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned a certificate in applied business from the Leeds School of Business at the university. She also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate from the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In her new role as Marketing Coordinator, McDonald will assist Tarlton in the ongoing development and implementation of internal and external strategic communications, public relations, marketing, and social media. She brings to Tarlton 15 years of experience from her work at Fortune 500 and global firms, as well as in the nonprofit, health care, and financial industries.
McDonald holds a Bachelor of Science in advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and is pursuing a graduate certificate in marketing management from Harvard Extension School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also holds certifications in digital strategy and business writing from the College of Arts and Sciences at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.
