COLUMBUS, OH — Kokosing has made a philanthropic commitment to The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) to strengthen Ohio’s construction management talent pipeline. The investment establishes the Kokosing Construction Management Program in partnership with the College of Engineering on both the Columbus and CFAES Wooster campuses.

The program expands opportunities for students and faculty through enhanced learning spaces, updated technology, hands-on training, and applied learning experiences. It prepares students for careers across commercial, heavy, and residential construction, advancing priorities such as an endowed faculty chair, expanded scholarships, and classrooms and labs.

“Kokosing has a long-standing commitment to cultivating future builders,” President and Co‑CEO Brett Burgett said. “We want to be a leader in building the workforce of tomorrow and inspiring students to solve construction’s toughest challenges.”

Kokosing’s latest commitment builds on decades of partnership with Ohio State, reflected in major campus projects including the Ohio Stadium expansion from 1999 to 2001; the cast-in-place concrete for the Recreation and Physical Activity Center; the installation of a new condensate return and water treatment systems at McCracken Power Plant; the Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex that opened in 2022; and CFAES’ new Multispecies Animal Learning Complex and dairy facilities, which hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in January.
