ELGIN, IL — Principle Construction Corp. announces the completion of a new truck maintenance and warehouse facility for Orozco Trucking in Elgin, Illinois. The build-to-suit project provides the national climate-controlled and dry freight specialist with a permanent home following their relocation from a leased site in Elk Grove Village.
The new 55,468-square-foot headquarters was designed to streamline Orozco’s diverse operational needs, featuring a strategic mix of office, maintenance, and warehouse space. Situated on previously undeveloped land with immediate access to I-90, the site also offers significant room for the company’s future expansion.
“Our reputation for delivering high-performance trucking facilities continues with the Orozco project,” said Mark Augustyn, Principle’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are thrilled to provide them with a top-of-the-line building that supports both their immediate maintenance requirements and their long-term growth strategy.”
The new facility offers a versatile layout, which includes a two-story office space totaling 23,000 square feet, 16,800 square feet of maintenance space, and 15,000 square feet of warehouse space. The warehouse and maintenance facility have a 26-foot clear height, four dock doors, and four drive-in doors. The Principle team installed an R-30 loosely laid EPDM ballasted roofing system with two layers of Isocyanurate insulation.
The project was led by Principle Project Manager Darrin Dehmlow and General Superintendent Doug Brucato. Architectural services were provided by Harris Architects.
