FORT WAYNE, IN — Garmann Miller (GM) welcomes Nik Vilamaa as its new Indiana Business Development Leader. He brings more than 20 years of professional experience, including 10 years focused on K-12 facility planning and design, along with an understanding of the needs of school districts throughout the state.
Based in GM’s office in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Vilamaa will work closely with school leaders and the firm’s Indiana leadership and project teams to identify priorities and connect clients with GM’s architecture, engineering, and planning expertise.
“Nik brings a genuine passion for serving schools and a solid understanding of what matters most to the people we serve,” Garmann Miller CEO Eric Baltzell said. “His commitment to listening, building relationships, and doing what’s best for each community ultimately leads to better spaces for students to learn and thrive.”
Vilamaa’s connection to school design began early through his father, an architect who dedicated much of his career to serving K-12 education throughout Indiana. That exposure helped shape an appreciation for the lasting impact of well-designed learning environments.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Garmann Miller and continue doing work I’m truly passionate about — connecting with school leaders and helping bring facilities to life that will serve students, families, and communities for generations,” Vilamaa said.
