ST. CHARLES, MO — Wiegmann Associates has completed work as the mechanical contractor for the new $38 million Two Rivers Elementary School in the Orchard Farm School District of St. Charles, Missouri. Wiegmann Associates served as the mechanical contractor for the project. The mechanical systems were designed to support occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and operational reliability for students, teachers, and staff throughout the facility.
Construction of the district’s third elementary school began in August 2024 and was completed in time for the 2026-27 school year.
Wiegmann installed the school’s HVAC and building automation systems in coordination with the project team. The project included a four-pipe hydronic HVAC system, rooftop air handling equipment, Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes, and integrated building controls designed to provide conditioned air and zoned temperature control throughout the school.
The system allows the school to simultaneously heat and cool to serve the needs of various spaces, including sun-facing classrooms and the gymnasium. The rooftop VAV system optimizes interior space and makes maintenance easier for the school facility staff.

Wiegmann Associates has delivered an extensive portfolio of educational projects across the St. Louis region in Missouri, including projects for Orchard Farm School District’s Discovery Elementary School in St. Charles County.
Two Rivers Elementary School is funded by Prop E, a no-tax-rate-increase bond issue approved by voters to expand facilities to accommodate the county’s rapidly growing student population. The new school was designed for a capacity of 600 students in kindergarten through fourth grades. Hoener Associates was the project architect, and LCS was the general contractor.
