“We continue to grow our team with talented, innovative leaders who have the skill and creativity to help deliver world-class facilities for our clients — on budget, on time, and at the highest quality,” said Karrie Kratz, Vice President and Business Leader for Gilbane Chicago. “Matthew Thompson is one of those leaders, and we’re thrilled to have his experience and perspective join the Chicago team.”
Before joining Gilbane, Thompson spent 20 years managing projects and project teams across various sectors in the Midwest, including criminal justice, laboratory, multi-family housing, defense, and historic preservation projects. He has a degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and graduated with distinction from Northwestern University’s Master of Business Administration program. At Northwestern, Thompson specialized in analytical consulting, management strategy, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
“I have lived in the Chicago area my entire life, so I’m honored and energized by the opportunity to help develop my hometown with a company like Gilbane that really cares about the city’s future and its residents,” Thompson said.
