SPRINGFIELD, IL — The Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP) welcomes new Assistant Director, Jess Koetzle. Koetzle graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in geology and a specialization in paleobiology. She entered the mining industry in 2016 with Heidelberg Materials. There, she served in the following roles: Quality Control Technician, Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Assistant Plant Manager.

Koetzle has held an active role in the IAAP PIE Committee since 2018 and has assisted with two Teacher’s Workshops. At the end of 2021, Koetzle assumed the role of Chair of the IAAP Sustainability Committee.

In the months to come, Koetzle will be working closely with former Assistant Director Shawn McKinney, Executive Director Dan Eichholz, and Office Manager Jodi Crowe to learn about all facets of IAAP programs and activities.

“Helping members with answers to their questions or concerns was the most rewarding part of my job," McKinney said. "I believe Jess shares this excitement too. She is proving to be an impressive addition to the IAAP staff, and her past experience working in the industry will make her an asset to IAAP members.”
