The mission of IPLSA includes the advancement of the land surveying profession by promoting high standards of practice and conduct, by upholding the Illinois Land Surveyors Act, and by supporting and encouraging members through continuing education, professional association, and the use of current technology. The continuing education aspect of IPLSA's mission is the reason for the convention.
Exhibiting at the convention gave Seiler Geospatial the opportunity to display all the latest technology that is available to land surveyors. In addition, employees from Seiler’s branch locations in Itasca, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri, were on hand to answer questions and provide insight into how a contractor could be more productive and efficient with the equipment offered by Seiler Geospatial.
Todd Sleezer, Strategic Accounts Manager for Seiler Instrument - Geospatial in Itasca, spoke about Seiler’s participation at the conference. “Seiler’s relationship with IPLSA is very strong, and I have personally attended this conference for 24 years," he said. "We are the largest sponsor and host many educational classes at the conference, in addition to displaying the latest technology in the Geospatial world.”
Sleezer also said that the conference gives Seiler an excellent opportunity to talk with their customers and future customers. “Seiler Instrument is a one-stop shop [with] all the equipment that we sell; we train, support, and service; and here at the conference, we can also educate," he said.
