LEBANON, IN — Gaylor Electric announces its partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Indiana/Kentucky to establish the ABC Construction Prep Academy in Lebanon, Indiana. This innovative program is designed to equip high school juniors and seniors with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the construction trades.
The ABC Construction Prep Academy offers students an accelerated pathway to industry opportunities, with a focus on hands-on learning and technical education. Upon graduation, seniors will have the opportunity to transition directly into paid, full-time apprenticeships with accredited ABC member businesses, such as Gaylor Electric. This model provides students with a head start in their careers, bridging the gap between high school education and long-term professional development.
“We are thrilled to partner with ABC Indiana/Kentucky to offer this exciting opportunity to the next generation of skilled craft professionals,” said Chuck Goodrich, CEO of Gaylor Electric. “This initiative aligns with our commitment to nurturing talent, driving innovation, and supporting the economic growth of the Lebanon community. By providing students with real-world experience and a clear path to success, we are investing in both their futures and the future of the construction industry.”
The ABC Construction Prep Academy is housed in a newly renovated building that had been previously sitting dormant in Lebanon for the past 30 years. Once a symbol of inactivity, the building has undergone a complete transformation, breathing new life into the community. In addition to offering facilities for hands-on learning and collaboration, the building will also serve as an operations hub for Lebanon-based Gaylor Electric teams. This revitalization reflects the commitment of Gaylor Electric and ABC Indiana/Kentucky to invest in the local community, turning unused spaces into centers for education, opportunity, and growth.
As part of this partnership, both Gaylor Electric and ABC are dedicated to developing young, local talent, ensuring that Lebanon and surrounding areas benefit from a pipeline of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the region’s economic development.

The mission of the ABC Commercial Construction Prep Academy program is to develop skilled and employable individuals and serve as an effective pipeline to aligned summer internships, employment, and ABC apprenticeship opportunities leading to essential careers in the construction trades.
