Chicas’ extensive architectural experience encompasses national and international aviation planning and design architecture. He specializes in high-profile, large-scale airport modernization projects and leads multidisciplinary teams through the delivery of complex and innovative projects. His noteworthy projects include the new Indianapolis International Airport, the new Salt Lake City International Airport Redevelopment Program, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport Automated People Mover Expansion in Houston, LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal B, and Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, among others.
Chicas joins HNTB after serving as the firmwide Director of Aviation and Transportation at another leading architecture firm.
Chicas is a registered Architect in New York and New Jersey and NCARB-certified. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute School of Architecture in New York. Throughout his career, Chicas continues to be dedicated to mentoring young architecture professionals to help them achieve their career goals.
