MANASQUAN, NJ — Joseph "Joe" Kong joins VHB’s Manasquan, New Jersey, office as Director of Civil Engineering, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience across both the public and private sectors. Kong's background includes significant contributions to the state, local, and federal governments, as well as the transportation and real estate markets. In his new role, Kong will lead the strategic expansion of VHB’s civil engineering operations throughout New Jersey.
Throughout his career, Kong has delivered large-scale infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, site development, and critical infrastructure renewal. His ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and implement successful business strategies will be key as he focuses on business and talent development — areas that are vital to VHB’s continued growth and success.

Kong's leadership marks a significant step forward for VHB’s Manasquan office as it continues to deliver solutions that improve and sustain communities.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities Campus and holds Professional Engineer licensure in Minnesota and New Jersey. Additionally, Kong is a Certified Municipal Engineer in New Jersey.
