Patel has led numerous high-profile projects as a technical leader, including a new $1.5 billion terminal at Kansas City International Airport, a passenger terminal and ground transportation center at U-Tapao-Rayong-Pattaya International Airport in Phla, Thailand, Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, India, improvements to the 33rd Street entrance and concourse at Penn Station in New York, and the first three rail stations — including the terminus hub — for Brightline in Florida.

Dedicated to architecture and design, Patel earned an AIA Honorable Certificate for her work on the World Trade Center Transportation Hub project. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
