GREENSBORO, NC — Andy Samberg, PE, has joined Garver as North Carolina Aviation Lead.
“Andrew’s range of experience and strategic vision make him the ideal leader to establish Garver’s presence in North Carolina,” Aviation Region Leader Ryan Sisemore, PE, said. “His understanding of the region’s aviation needs, combined with his commitment to building strong partnerships, will position Garver for long-term success in this dynamic market.”
For Samberg, the decision to join Garver came down to culture and opportunity.
“Garver encourages an entrepreneurial spirit in its employees,” he said. “It’s a great company — successful, growing quickly but responsibly. Starting something new and making it your own is exciting, especially with the backing of a firm like Garver.”
Looking ahead, Samberg said he sees tremendous opportunity in North Carolina’s aviation market. The state has experienced rapid population growth since 2021, and airports in cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington are expanding to meet increasing demand. Wilmington, for example, has been the fastest-growing airport in the nation by percentage over a three-year stretch.

In addition, Greensboro will soon be home to Jetzero, a new commercial airline manufacturer expected to bring 14,500 jobs to the region. Combined with strong state investment in airport infrastructure and incentives for business development, these factors make North Carolina one of the most dynamic aviation markets in the country.
While breaking into a competitive market presents challenges, Samberg said he is confident in Garver’s ability to succeed.
“It’s going to be challenging to find market share, but once we break in, it will be very successful over the long run,” he said. “The demand is there, and the state is doing a great job supporting growth. Over time, as we form partnerships here, this has the potential to be very, very successful.”
