NEW HAVEN, CT — The Connecticut Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Connecticut) announces the appointment of four new members of its Board of Directors, as well as the newly elected Officers for 2020. The 2020 Officers elected for a one-year term are:

George McGoldrick, AIA, President of George McGoldrick AIA, LLC in Meriden

McGoldrick has a range of professional experience that has combined a career in architecture with public service in his community. As a business and community leader his accomplishments include success in private practice, previous employment in two Connecticut architectural firms, service as the Executive Director of a municipal redevelopment agency and as an elected City Councilor.

Angela Cahill, AIA, LEED AP, Vice President of QA+ M Architecture in Farmington

Cahill has a 20-year career in architecture and has worked on dozens of large, complex projects. For many years, Cahill served as an Adjunct Professor and is currently a Visiting Critic of Architectural Design at the University of Hartford. In addition, she has personally mentored dozens of students and has served on the ACE Mentoring Program’s Advisory Board. In 2017, Governor Dannel Malloy appointed Cahill to the State of Connecticut Architectural Licensing Board.

Randall Anway, AIA, LEED AP, Treasurer of New Tapestry, LLC in Old Lyme

Anway specializes in interdisciplinary architectural design research inspired by natural patterns and systems. His work draws on experience in academic, industrial, nonprofit and small business settings involved with design and programmatic processes. Through a collaborative approach and consultancy, New Tapestry, LLC, he offers research concerning sustainable architectural strategies in the built environment.

Paolo Campos, AIA, NOMA, Secretary of Patriquin Architects in New Haven

An Associate Principal with Patriquin Architects, Campos actively manages project design and documentation, technology integration and business development. His professional career has spanned nearly 20 years, with experience in primary and higher education, multifamily housing, master planning and commercial work. Campos is a member of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), the U.S. Green Building Council and serves as Co-Chair on the AIA Connecticut Building Performance and Regulations Committee.

Joining the Board of Directors for a three-year term are Jennifer Huestis, AIA, Andrew Gorzkowski, AIA and Thomas Haskell, AIA. Dominque Moore, Associate AIA will serve a one-year term as Associate Director.

Jennifer Huestis, AIA, Huestis Tucker Architects, LLC in Woodbridge

Huestis was formerly associated with several firms, including Greenhill Jenner Partners in London, UK, Duo Dickinson Architect of Madison, Connecticut, and Robert Orr and Associates of New Haven, Connecticut. She started her own practice in 1995. Huestis Tucker Architects, LLC, is a full-service firm specializing in custom residential, commercial and corporate architecture and interior design. The company was founded in 1998 by Huestis and Bob Tucker, a husband and wife team.

Andrew Gorzkowski, AIA, Pickard Chilton in New Haven

Gorzkowski is an Architect and Designer with Pickard Chilton, where he has worked on large-scale, mixed-use, corporate and commercial developments both nationally and internationally. Committed to sustainability, he serves as AIA 2030 Challenge Firm Coordinator and was selected as the Emerging Professional Firm Representative to attend Greenbuild 2017. He also is an active mentor with the ACE Mentor program, where he has mentored dozens of students. Gorzkowski earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.

Thomas Haskell, AIA, UCONN in Storrs

Haskell is a Senior Project Manager with UCONN's University Planning, Design and Construction Department. With over 37 years of experience, he has an extensive portfolio of completed projects in college, university and corporate market sectors.

Dominque Moore, Associate AIA, Perkins Eastman in Stamford

Moore is an Architecture and Interior Design Professional with a history of domestic and international design collaborations for residential, commercial and hospitality projects. She is a Co-Founder of D.C.M.S (Design Coalition of Minority Students) at Philadelphia University and on Perkins Eastman Women's Leadership Committee. Moore graduated from the Philadelphia University with her Bachelor of Architecture and Temple University in Rome, Italy. She is currently taking her ARE exams.

Michael Ayles, FAIA, of Antinozzi Associates in Bridgeport; Joseph Bergin, AIA, of TLB Architecture, LLC in Chester; Catherine Ellithorpe, AIA, of SLAM Collaborative in Glastonbury; Linda C. Reeder, FAIA, of Linda Reeder Architecture, LLC in New Haven; and Susan Wyeth, AIA, of Centerbrook Architects and Planners in Centerbrook, will continue to fulfill their term as Directors of the Board. Glenn Gollenberg, AIA of SLAM Collaborative in Glastonbury remains on the board as Past President.
