In this role, Cox will be responsible for guiding the Seattle health practice while also supporting the growing health practice in Asia. She brings to HDR over 35 years of experience as a Medical Planner and Project Manager for health care facilities across the country.
Cox is looking forward to bringing her passion and expertise in client and user group engagement to enhance HDR’s approach in health care planning.
“I feel I am an advocate for developing both a good care environment for patients and a state-of-the-art facility that exceeds staff expectations in operations with a work environment they truly enjoy,” Cox said.
She has a long history of connecting and workshopping with clients and users alike in everything from initial master plans to programming.
“Cindy brings deep knowledge and a broad health care perspective to our Seattle health practice,” said Jim Atkinson, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED AP, Director of Healthcare Planning. “We are delighted to add her to our health planning leadership as a Health Planning Principal.”
Prior to joining HDR, Cox was a Senior Medical Planner at Flad Architects in Madison, Wisconsin. Cox earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon.
