SEATTLE, WA — Skanska hires Ivi Gabales as Senior Director - Business Development Strategist for its office in Seattle, Washington. Gabales brings nearly 20 years of experience across architecture, engineering, marketing, and business development leadership in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, including roles at Rice Fergus Miller, Glumac, and BCRA, as well as leading her own AEC consulting practice.
In her new role, Gabales will lead strategic business development initiatives focused on strengthening client relationships, expanding market opportunities, and supporting long-term growth across key sectors in the Pacific Northwest.
Gabales has helped firms strengthen client relationships, refine pursuit strategies, and position themselves for sustainable growth across the AEC industry. Through her work in architecture and engineering, she brings an established network and relationships throughout Washington state, including tribal communities, along with market insight and industry perspective that will support Skanska’s continued growth in the region.

Gabales began her career as an architect before transitioning into marketing and business development leadership, giving her an understanding of both technical teams and client needs. In addition to her industry leadership, she is an active speaker and facilitator on topics including strategic business development, leadership, and relationship-driven growth.

Gabales holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of the Philippines and serves on the boards of the Seattle Architecture Foundation and the Filipino American Construction Professionals of the Northwest.
