SEATTLE, WA — Keith Hui, AIA, returns to HOK as Regional Leader of Aviation + Transportation (A+T) in Seattle. Hui is an architect who brings more than 25 years of experience planning and designing airport terminals and support buildings across the globe. Hui will collaborate with Matt Needham, HOK’s Director of A+T, to expand the firm’s A+T practice across the Pacific Northwest.

Hui, who previously worked at HOK from 2008 to 2016, helped establish the A+T practice in the firm’s Seattle studio as well as in Hong Kong and later Houston. His projects included the Honolulu International Airport Modernization in Hawaii, Long Beach Airport Modernization in Long Beach, California, Suvarnabhumi International Airport’s Midfield Satellite Concourse in Bangkok, and Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 1 Expansion in Bengaluru, India.

His work with previous firms includes the Concourse Expansion Project at Denver International Airport, the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan, Philippines, and the International Arrivals Facility at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

“Our goal is to design the world’s best, most sustainable transportation facilities that enhance the traveler experience and increase opportunities for commerce and tourism,” Needham said. “Keith has played an important role on major airport projects around the world, and we’re pleased that he is returning to HOK to elevate the expertise and service we provide to A+T clients.”

Hui is a member of the Airports Council International World Facilitation and Services Standing Committee and the Airport Consultants Council’s Terminal & Facilities Committee. He is an author with published work covering topics from increasing diversity and inclusion in aviation design to designing passenger-friendly terminals for the 21st century.
