DENVER, CO — Jason Mayyak has been promoted to General Manager for the Mountain Region at Burns & McDonnell.
In his new role, Mayyak will lead a workforce of more than 500 employee-owners based in Denver, Colorado, and Vancouver, Washington. The team delivers engineering, procurement, construction, environmental, and consulting services to clients across the region, supporting infrastructure projects in energy, water, power, environmental, industrial, manufacturing, and other sectors. He succeeds Dan Korinek, who retired at the beginning of 2026 after 37 years with the firm.
“Jason has played a pivotal role in our firm’s growth in the Mountain Region since joining more than a decade ago,” said Zach Herrington, who leads the firm’s broader Americas West Region. “He embraces new challenges with enthusiasm, and we are confident he will excel in this leadership position as the region continues to grow. Jason brings deep industry knowledge, strong business acumen, and proven leadership skills. His forward-thinking and innovative approach will help shape the region’s future, and we look forward to the impact he will make.”
Mayyak previously served as Vice President and Operations Director for the Mountain Region. Before that, he was a Regional Manager in the Transmission & Distribution Group, leading major power infrastructure projects. Under his leadership, the team more than tripled in size, and he played a key role in advancing new project delivery methods, including engineer-procure-construct.
“I’m honored to step into this new leadership role and continue supporting our employee-owners and clients across the Mountain Region,” Mayyak said. “I’m incredibly excited by the opportunities ahead as we leverage our diverse service offerings, from environmental and water to power and manufacturing, to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. The talent and dedication of our team really inspires me, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the years to come.”
