COMPTON, CA — Trench Shoring Company announces April 2021 as the target date for the opening of their 11th location in San Leandro, California. With this newest facility, the company takes another step toward their commitment to serve all of California, with 10 branches from San Diego to the Bay Area, plus a location in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The new San Leandro facility will give Trench Shoring Company convenient access to the busy construction industry in Northern California. The branch is central to the Bay Area, near Oakland Airport and close to all major freeways.

“Since the launch of our company in 1973, 'Commitment to Safety and Service' has been Founder Tom Malloy’s motto," said Kevin Malloy, Trench Shoring Company President. "Many of our contractors have been asking us to open a Northern California location. Our goal for the San Leandro facility will be same day service to support projects throughout the Bay Area.”

Integral to the opening of their San Leandro branch is the company’s focus on safety both for their employee workforce and also in the trenches for their clients and customers. To support their internal workforce, Malloy established a Safety Task Force with the dual goals of embedding a culture of safety throughout the company and correcting any unsafe practices. These safety goals have evolved into a detailed training manual, which today includes over 30 different safety policies and procedures.

To educate and help keep Northern California clients and contractors safe in the trenches, Trench Shoring University (TSU) instructors will employ their training tools adapted for both online (remote learning) as well as classroom situations when safe. Competent Person Training and Confined Space Training courses meet all OSHA requirements.

“Although our new location has been planned for some time, the actual launch will not occur until we are completely set up with staff and inventory,” Kevin said.

From day one, the San Leandro facility will be equipped with a full inventory of shoring equipment including steel trench plates, trench shields, hydraulic shoring, slide rail, and a range of safety equipment. Heavy and utility vehicles, crane, pickup and flatbed trucks, and a well-trained staff are ready to provide the same-day service on which Trench Shoring Company has built its reputation for almost 50 years.
