BREA, CA — Pablo Lorenzo has been promoted to General Manager for the California Region at Burns & McDonnell. Lorenzo succeeds Rashmi Menon, who was promoted to Chief People Officer.

In his new role, Lorenzo will lead a workforce of more than 300 employee-owners based in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Walnut Creek, California. The team delivers construction, engineering, environmental, and consulting services to clients across the region, supporting critical infrastructure projects in energy, power, aerospace, aviation, federal, water, environmental, food and beverage manufacturing, and other sectors.

“Pablo is a proven leader with a clear strategic vision for the future,” said Leslie M. Duke, Chair and CEO of Burns & McDonnell. “His strong financial acumen, combined with a client-first approach to leadership, has helped drive growth across the region. As the region continues to grow, Pablo's experience and leadership will be invaluable in creating new opportunities for our clients, partners, and employee-owners.”

Lorenzo previously served as Vice President and Regional Manager for the firm’s Aviation & Federal Group. Throughout his more than two-decade career, he has partnered with clients to design and construct complex facilities for federal, aviation, aerospace, defense, industrial, and mission-critical markets. Under his leadership, the group expanded its presence across key sectors while delivering innovative solutions for clients.

“I’m honored to take on this role and continue serving our employee-owners and clients across the region,” Lorenzo said. “There are tremendous opportunities ahead as we help clients advance critical infrastructure projects. I’m excited to work alongside our talented team to design and build sustainable infrastructure, solve complex challenges, and create lasting value for our clients and communities.”

Lorenzo earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Venezuela. With diverse project experience, Lorenzo has successfully earned the following certifications: Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, and LEED AP.
