LOS ANGELES, CA — SmithGroup, an integrated design firm, hires Daniel Cusick as Health Studio Leader and Principal in its Los Angeles office. In this role, he leads an expert team in the delivery of planning and design solutions for health care systems throughout Southern California. In addition, he focuses on building client relationships and expanding partnerships in the health care industry.

With 35 years of leadership and design experience, Cusick has designed multiple billion-dollar health care projects. His portfolio includes the Catholic Health Good Samaritan Hospital Patient Care Pavilion, Memorial Sloan Kettering Children’s Cancer Center, and New York’s first LEED Platinum-certified hospital at Northwell Health Katz Women’s Hospital at Manhasset. He specializes in academic and emergency medicine; acute, ambulatory, and cancer care; and women’s and children’s facilities.
