Bobcat owners and renters in the growing Temple-Belton-Killeen area now have a more convenient store for sales, rentals, parts, and service.

CCE (Compact Construction Equipment, LLC) the authorized sales, rental, service, and parts dealer for Bobcat compact construction equipment for south, central and west Texas celebrated the opening of their fifteenth branch store in Temple on June 15. The Bobcat line is known for their skid steer loaders, track loaders, excavators, utility vehicles, tractors, mowers, and attachments.

Located on the southbound I-35 service road at 520 N General Bruce Dr, in northern Temple, Bobcat of Temple will support CCE’s light construction customers working in rapidly growing Bell and neighboring counties between Austin and Waco, according to Whit Perryman, CEO of Compact CCE and its sister company Vermeer Texas-Louisiana. While the CCE Bobcat stores in north Austin (Round Rock) and north Waco (Elm Mott) team with their regional Vermeer sister-company, the Temple location does not carry the Vermeer line.

According to Temple Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Bobcat of Temple was the tenth new business ribbon cutting they have performed within one month. While many new businesses are opening, the majority of the new construction here is in the residential market, they added. The Temple-Belton-Killeen area, with an estimated 2021 population of more than 486,000, is the sixth fastest-growing midsize metropolitan area in the nation, reported a recent article in the Temple Daily Telegram.

With residential as the major construction market in this central Texas area, Bobcat of Temple has focused on the contractors serving that market, but other rural markets as well. Branch Manager Chip Thomas described this branch’s primary customer base as compact construction – home builders, landscapers, grounds maintenance, plumbers, and electricians. However Central Texas customers are also active in aspects of agriculture and livestock, and Bobcat of Temple supports these sectors as well. Temple carries Bobcat-compatible attachments for not only the construction market, but for specialized needs in forestry, agriculture, and livestock. The Temple store will carry Virnig Manufacturing, Belltec Industries, Blue Diamond, and Fecon attachments and parts, including Echo outdoor products, along with providing service.

Initiating the official ribbon cutting ceremony, Dave Hedge, Temple Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Chairman, welcomed the Bobcat business to the Temple community, and complimented “the enhanced customer service that we are bringing to the market having folks right here.” He then presented a Grand Opening certificate to Perryman and Thomas.

Thomas introduced the Temple parts, service and sales team. Grouped alongside the staff behind the ribbon were members of the Bobcat CCE/Vermeer Texas-Louisiana “family” with Temple Chamber Ambassadors holding the ribbon. Perryman addressed the grand opening attendees and media saying, “We’re so proud to be a part of this Temple community and help serve the customers here. We have a great customer base here. We’re able to support business here and add jobs to the community. We look forward to growing and adding more jobs.”

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, everyone was treated to a lunch of hamburgers and Temple-quality brats, all grilled on site. Factory representatives from the Bobcat Company in addition to the Bobcat of Temple team were on hand to answer questions and demonstrate their products.
